Two weeks later, in the midst of crafting "Love Shock" with lyrics such as "You send a Love Shock in the ground to play the song…", a sudden downpour engulfed the recording studio shared by Alex Zhu and Risa Elledge. Embracing her free-spirited nature, Risa suggested to Alex that they revel in the joy of frolicking in the rain. To Risa's chagrin, a bolt of lightning struck a mere ten feet away from where she stood, thus solidifying "Love Shock".
